Family stop in Galway

We were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean this place was and seemed to have been recently updated. Although a little away from the main part of town it was a great place with super friendly staff and dog friendly which was important for our friends we travelled with. Was well worth the price.

All the amenities, but a jaunt to town.

The Travelodge was a safe and affordable choice in Galway. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to town on very busy sidewalks.

Obviously you are not in the center of town when staying at this hotel but it is not a long taxi ride to get there. It is a very basic Travelodge and so it offers very basic service. The staff are lovely and the rooms clean but it is basic.

I was very impressed by the courtesy of all the staff. One of the staff went out of her way to assist me. We needed a taxi and the front desk person handled it immediately. My only suggestion would be to have room fans available when needed.

The rooms were extremely spacious. The hotel was extremely clean. The employees and staff were kind, helpful, and generous. The morning breakfast was always delicious and everybody on the property really made my visit pleasant and memorable. I would highly recommend this hotel to anybody. A really terrific property.

Free parking, nice enough rooms, bus nearby

This is an okay location and the room is fairly small for the up to 4 people that can sleep there. It's nice because there is free parking but it goes quick up front. There is a bus stop not too far away that takes you right down to Eyre Square and uses the Leap Card from Dublin. Not much around food wise after the kitchen closes at 9pm, thank goodness for the late night subway up the road. Didn't get to try the breakfast or dinner but nice to be able to have a drink in the lobby when wanted. Downside, no a/c, which you don't expect to need in May in Ireland but it was needed. At least the windows opened, but being on a busy road and on the ground floor made that a little dicey. A fan was needed at the very least. I only mention it for people who need it like me.
