Does a morning walk with the dazzling ocean as your backdrop sound appealing? Pay a visit to Fulong Beach, 2 kilometres to the northwest.

We all know that spending time in the great outdoors is good for your health. Keeping that in mind, why don't you journey 45 kilometres out of Fulong to Yangmingshan National Park? Beitou Hot Springs Park, 45 kilometres away, is another recommended choice.

If you can't imagine a holiday without some exciting sports action, check out the event schedule at Taipei Arena. It's likely something will be on while you visit. You'll find the venue 40 kilometres away in Taipei.

Travel 16 kilometres to the southwest and you'll stumble upon Toucheng. It's popular for some outstanding sights, including Giushan Island and Beiguan Coast Park.

Keen to visit Wufengchi Waterfall, Tangweigou Hot Springs Park and Jiaoxi Hot Spring Visitor Center? Find your way to Jiaoxi, 30 kilometres to the southwest, and set up base. These sights, along with the Beneficial Microbes Museum and Tourism Factory and Wusha's Former Residence, are all nearby.
