The view was great, the staff were all very friendly, however, the shower was broken and there was mould in the bathroom because there was little ventilation. There was damp in the corner of the room and the bed was on a slant on one side. The car park was gravel, extremely bumpy and needs to be repaved. Also there was no lift, and I didn't book an accessable room so I had to climb 2 sets of steep stairs
Holes in curtains mould on shower ceiling poor decoration piece of sterling board as a headboard holes in floor in corridor

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
We enjoyed our two night stay, and would have liked to stay longer. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our rooms were clean, beds very comfy and the area was peaceful. Continental breakfast at £7.50 was reasonable and all we wanted, providing tea, coffee, orange and apple juice, cereal, croissants, crumpets and white or brown bread for toasting. Restaurant is clean and pleasant. The general decor of the hotel could do with renewal. Exquisite large stained glass window featuring a beautiful heron (?) , other birds and flowers was viewable from the stairs. We will return !
The man at the desk was friendly enough however no security and poor service at the bar as the man on the desk was clearing running it by himself .

Liked: Staff & service
Tired but worth the money paid.
Used for placing an employee for the week. Asked them their honest opinion and they were quite impressed for the loney. Yes its a bit tired, a bit worn but for £30 a night it was very acceprable and we will be returning to using the hotel for the member of staff based upon their own request.

This hotel retains some of its old charm and doesn't have the same flat, grey and white modernised look like so many hotels these days.
I recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a deeply disappointing experience. The “deluxe” family room advertised on Hotels.com was far from what the photos depicted. The bed had a pronounced dip in the center, suggesting significant wear and tear. To make matters worse, the shower lacked a latch to hold the showerhead, making it almost unusable.
The inconveniences didn’t stop there—they required guests to provide a card at reception just to use a hair dryer. Parking was inadequate, with far too few spaces to accommodate all guests. Upon entering the room, I couldn’t shake the uncomfortable sensation—it even felt as though my skin began to itch. The final straw was discovering someone’s long blonde curly hair on the duvet.
If you’re passing through en route to Le Shuttle, my advice would be to spend a little more and choose a hotel where cleanliness and comfort are prioritized. This is not somewhere I’d recommend staying.

A nice place for a stop off for the eurotunnel, about 10 to 15 mins away.
The room was far too bright, curtains were pretty much useless as even when open, there was no change in the light within the room at night. The general noise in the entire place was loud so didn’t make for an easy night sleep. Great location overlooking the sea. Car park could do with a decent tarmac job and lanes bays
Just the area its good...
The hotel its very very bad...
No hot water on 102 room
Dirty behind imagination
Smells like hell
See view window like prison..
The room it was cut in the middle and centre of the window..
I fell sorry for the owner he has a very good location but the hotel needs investment to be in minimum condition
