Much nicer than expected! Lots of cozy hang out spaces. In a big piazza square with many restaurants and walkable to everything but don’t get lost or depend on Google maps as data is spotty and sometimes unavailable especially around museums with thousands trying to use internet. Make copies of all docs to your photos “trip” albums to easily enter museums etc as the ferenze card maybe not open. Also watch out for copy cat sites for tickets the Firenze card red allows you to r Make reservations ahead for Uffizi and Academy I.e. David, you have to call though which is annoying but have that code and card ready and go to gate 3 window to trade code for tickets. It’s complicated and unorganized.

We stayed for one night at the end of December (2024). A really nice hotel that is very walkable to the train station (5-7 minute walk). Beautiful hotel and central to many things. Restaurants within yards. Beautiful bath and shower that isn't seen in the pics with very hot water every time. Gorgeous breakfast comes with the room price. Really comfortable bed with fine linens. After a long day walking its a dream. They also have a turn down service and snacks for in room dining until 10:30 pm. I would love to go back!!
