Dale Farm Holidays in the stunning Yorkshire Wolds near Filey Bay (3 bed 3 bath)

With the Yorkshire Wolds, North York Moors National Park and Yorkshire Coastline on our doorstep and ancient York less than an hour away, our location can’t be beaten for exploring this stunning county.

Our self-catering cottage is converted from the original farm hand’s cottage and has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. We have retained many pretty, original features but installed modern facilities throughout. It is cosy in winter with a log burner in the sitting room and a sunny conservatory which leads into the garden. There is also a dining room with range and a well equipped kitchen.

The cottage can sleep up to 6 people but is also ideal for smaller groups. We welcome 1 dog and children over 7. From £150 per night.

As well as the cottage we have lots of other accommodation to suit everyone including cosy cabins, a romantic treehouse, a quirky summerhouse, stunning loft apartment and two luxurious self-catering studios (for 2). Check site for more information.

This is a really comfortable farmhouse, full of character and with everything you would need. It is in a great location tucked away in glorious rolling countryside but easy to drive to the coast and Filey.

Spacious property in lovely location

The cottage is very spacious, especially the bedrooms and bathrooms, with original features and is in a great location, with easy access to the coast. Owner was helpful and on hand but not at all intrusive. We had a lovely stay. Dog owners should be aware that the garden is not secure. If I’m being picky, I wouldn’t say the kitchen is ‘well-equipped’ as the listing description says and it’s doesn’t mention that the garden is shared with the owner who lives in the other half of the house. The kitchen, decor and furnishings are a bit old and tired. None of these things mattered to us and for the price we were happy. There is an adjoining single storey building and I’m not sure what this is used for, but people seemed to go in and out of it late at night and early in the morning. The noise alerted our dog who’d bark, as it sounds like someone is in the house due to there being an internal door to this building, not a solid wall. Again, not an issue, just something for dog owners to be aware of.

Dale Farm Holiday Cottage

We had an amazing stay, property was outstanding and in a beautiful, peaceful and scenic part of the country.It was close to Filey and Scarborough so made a great holiday cottage for our family and our dog.Very clean, extremely spacious with everything we needed and are very likely to return in the future.

Perfect family get away

We had a lovely time at the cottage, spending time with family again and exploring the coast. A beautiful place, quiet and homely, within easy reach of the coast. The owners were really helpful and friendly. It was brilliant, thank you.

Just Perfect!

The Cottage was just lovely with all the essentials and a lovely mix of character and mod-cons. The surrounding area is just beautiful and close to places of interest. Filey sea front is glorious. We had such a great time, really relaxing. Will definitely stay there again and even my parents have booked on our recommendation in October.

Family weekend

Had a lovely weekend at Dale Farm. Plenty of space to play with an active two year old. Could do with another comfy chair/sofa in sitting room. Very helpful and problems sorted quickly. Needs some money spending on carpet etc. Plumbing very sensitive.

Fantastic break away

We just spent 5 days at the cottage, the location is ideal, only 10mins to Filey, 20mins to Bridlington and 25mins to Scarborough. The surroundings of the cottage are great (especially for little ones, lots to look at and explore, including a huge field for ball games). The house is lovely and the owners left us be but were around if needed. We would definitely recommend.

A beautiful property in a lovely location. close to the Filey and Scarborough which are great places to visit. Owners very friendly, but left us to ourselves too, which is great. Would highly recommend for others to visit and stay. well worth it.
