The hot breakfast wasn’t really a hot breakfast, the only hot food was toast and those waffle pans. The room smelled like cigarette smoke. The owner was a rude guy who was very sarcastic.

While we understood options were limited given the town and last minute booking, the room was filthy and the “remodel” a new picture over the bed. Bathroom floor, walls and moulding visibly dirty and the bedspread had not been laundered (saw other people’s long hairs). We left at 4:30am because it was too gross to stay.

the room did feel neglected, especially after we had to go to the manager 5 times in order to get our trash cans emptied, our beds made our coffee supply refilled and our towels replaced, it was finally a junior employee who got the job done. the paint in the bathroom was peeling, and the towel rack had been torn off the wall leaving only one towel rack support. There were also two stripes of chipped paint on the walls of the bedroom where, apparently, a disk or other furniture item had been removed.

Worst hotel in my 71 years…

No one is ever at the counter; only three customers for 40 rooms and they were placed next to me; a cup with instant coffee but no hot water dispenser; stopped up sink; NO CLEANING during my four night stay; extremely noisy refrigerator on and off all night; one thread bare blanket; extremely rude employee when I asked why a noisy person was placed next to my room when there were 35+ vacant rooms “we have no control over that”; a single bottle of something (soap/shampoo/conditioner?) on the side of the tub not installed in any way; a sign on the counter “we’ll be right back” and a bell - do I wait or ring the bell? Super8 should disassociate from this less than Motel 6 disaster….

Check in went well. They even upgraded my room from a queen to a king! But then I was quite put off by the owner requesting a "tip" for checking my dog in! If you need more money, raise your rates. Don't ask for demeaning tips for simply doing your job! Guest laundry did a great job. Door keys did not work properly and required several minutes of fussing about every time we tried to use them. Owner/manager said we simply were not doing it properly, but would not come the few steps to the room to show us the "proper" procedure. In summery, fair room at a fair price, but client service could be improved.

Older motel right on US-101. Boats were tied up in berths right across the highway. It was close to restaurants. We could hear sea lions from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.
