Attractions and Hotels Near El Roble

But don't just stop there. Take an extra day or two to experience some of the awesome attractions and activities that the wider Costa Rica region offers. Nature buffs should visit El Roble's amazing beaches, forests and rainforest. A few other must-sees to put on your hit list are nature museums. If the weather is putting on a show (or even if it's not), you could also get out there and try some popular local pastimes like mountain biking, hiking and zip-lining.

It's well known that Aussies are pretty laid back, so consider chilling out a little longer and going to the Carara Biological Reserve and Hacienda las Agujas in Playa Agujas, 30 kilometres to the south of El Roble. If you want to visit Playa Agujas, look into the rates at the Punta Leona and Hotel D'Lucía. 30 kilometres to the south of El Roble you can also stay at Punta Leona, which is home to the Zephyr Palace and Stay In CR Los Sueños Condos. Herradura Beach and Mantas Beach are among the more popular places to explore while in Punta Leona.

After sleeping upright for hours, a seriously cosy bed at the Hampton Inn and Suites San Jose Airport will feel like a dream! If that doesn't quite cut it, check out the Holiday Inn Express San Jose Costa Rica Airport. Both are super close to Juan Santamaria International Airport, which is 60 kilometres from the centre of town.

I read many of the other comments and I was pleasantly surprised by the resort. My check in time took <5 min (it was a Wednesday in May though). The resort was clean and the staff was very friendly. I was pleased that they doubled up staff were needed to always have someone that spoke English available. The food and drinks were acceptable. Overall the resort look a little “tired” but renovations are in progress. I would come back.
