I only usually provide productive and positive feedback but as quite an extensive traveller I did not enjoy my stay here. Thankfully was only was night. The room was very clean but so clinical, nothing homely or warm to enhance my stay and I couldn’t wait to leave. Toiletries attached to the wall were far away from where was useful, the bathroom door slammed shut with no hinge to soften the blow, other bathroom doors in the hotel could be heard throughout the night, no mobile coverage in the - 2 basement floor which nowadays isn’t right. The hotel was a maze of a place and not for anyone with mobility issues or claustrophobic. The map provided didn’t indicate the many levels of the hotel. As one staff member confirmed- it’s built like the game Jenga. The staff were the saving grace and I appreciated the support and attention of them all. Thank you. I had a quick nachos meal being the only gluten free option of the bar menu and as I didn’t want to have to try and navigate my way around the hotel to find any other restaurant it was very nice.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The customer service was excellent. We traveled with our two kids and having access to a pool was amazing after long days of walking. The breakfast was excellent and the views from the restaurant were amazing as well. Would definitely stay their again

We loved the hotel grounds and the main building. However there was a few things that was below my expectations. First of all, there wasn’t anything in the rooms for personal use such as simple slippers, and personal care products which I normally would expect from a 4 star hotel. Standard rooms could have been better considering the hotel is 4* which wasn’t the case when i compare it to other hotels I stayed. Besides breakfast could have been a bit better as well. Hotel’s restaurant was good however breakfast quality was a bit below what i expected and again contained basic options which were cooked avarage level. I have had better quality expectations in those areas.

Hotel room was in great condition and very clean. Most of the staff were fantastic, a few could have been more pleasant. We dined in the restaurant above the pool area on our first night. This was not an enjoyable experience at all. The staff were less than happy looking, when the kids meals arrived.. they had ordered burgers and chips and when I say the burgers were tiny I’m not exaggerating. My husband and myself ordered fish and chips, the fish was lovely but the chips were extremely greasy and mushy peas were like hard paste. I asked for some vinegar and the man told me there was none as they had run out a few days ago…then the bill..so expensive and not worth it. Compared to our stay the previous year the dining experience had went drastically down hill so we ended up eating out for the remaining four nights we stayed. Breakfast was mainly great, good selection and fresh food from the kitchen on request. Could do with weetabix for the kids as it does state they have it on the menu but couldn’t be found. Pool area with steam room and sauna are lovely, some of the ceiling tiles above the pool have seen better days and really stand out in such a clean and up to date area. Changing rooms are well equipt but missing many locker keys. Over all I was pleased with the stay but having stayed four times previously over this past few years there is definitely an obvious change in the attention to detail and it’s nothing that can’t be simply fixed but I may try elsewhere in future.

Dalmahoy stay 1 night family room.

Lots of parking and comfortable beds. Rooms spacious and clean. We did have to queue for 20 minutes to get in for breakfast but it was good quality once we got in. Food in the brasserie was ok for dinner. We didn’t use the leisure facilities but they looked good. There is a games room but some of the equipment and room itself could do with updating.

I was angry that the room 144 had a radiator issue,an easy fix by tapping a dirty internal valve.We were told it would be fixed whilst we were out on our second day ,on our return it hadn't been rectified and at 10:30 at night we were given an alternative room.l don't blame any staff member,just that there was an issue known about because the next door room was kept free in case the issue still occurred.
