Ever wondered why Adirondack Region is such a fave with travellers? Well, we're pretty sure its glorious forests and mountains have something to do with it! Set up base in Eagle Bay and you'll be in a terrific spot to explore them.

It lies 570 kilometres to the north of Washington, the capital city of United States of America.

Spend the day walking along the shore and collecting shells by the water's edge at Verona Beach State Park or Westcott Beach State Park.

Mother Nature's artwork is yours to discover in multiple places around Eagle Bay. Just 35 kilometres away, Adirondack Park is an excellent place to start. Agers Falls sits 30 kilometres away and is another favourite spot to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Whether you'd like to perfect your turns or simply get to the bottom in one piece, Adirondack Region has the slopes for you. Choose from Dry Hill Ski Area or McCauley Mountain Ski Center.

Want to go to Enchanted Forest Water Safari and Town of Webb Historical Association? These excellent attractions are quite close to the middle of Old Forge, just 7 kilometres east. Use this as a base for a little while and start exploring!

Spend a bit of time wandering around the Jefferson Community College, Salmon Run Mall and the Thompson Park. All of these sights are pretty close to the middle of Watertown, 80 kilometres to the west. If you want more, the New York State Zoo at Thompson Park and the Sci-Tech Center of Northern New York ought to also be on your travel plan.
