Not Welcoming
I am not sure if it was the tension of an upcoming protest in Dublin or a busy Saturday night but we arrived late and the door men were not keen to have us come in the hotel. Once inside we realized this was a party hotel as it was 11:30pm and people were everywhere. We stayed in an apartment so there was ample room but things were dated. We also noticed that someone came into our room while we were sleeping to drop off towels. This was a bit unnerving. The hotel was far from Dublin City centre so if your intention is to be in the action I’d say that a closer spot would be better as you’ll pay a lot in taxi fees or be on transit for a long time. We wouldn’t look to stay here again.

This property is convenient to the airport and does its job in that way. Not pretty or outstanding in any way but good location. I did have a good staff experience in which a front desk staff member ran up extra mugs and towels to our group's room quickly during a busy afternoon for him. That was appreciated.
Trip started with a 20minute wait at the front gate waiting for staff to open the gate after ringing continuously and causing a full traffic jam due to there being no tickets in machine.
The room was filthy with dust.
Id imagine the reason is the cleaners just sit on their phones in the corridors hiding behind their carts from the cameras.
We went to the pool with the children and baby. The pool was stinking and changing room were rotten. I had goggles with me to do some laps and had to keep stopping to check if there was anyone else in the lane. I am a river rescue swimmer and felt more like I was in a river than a pool with the merky water.
Just seems likes a failing with management in this hotel. Won't be back or send any of our labour from work here

Booked a triple room for 2 adults and 1 child, before i arrived offered upgrade, when arrived room had a double bed and that was it
Fantastic check in and room was comfortable.,
Crisps left on floor from previous guests but overall was fine.
Staff were great
Breakfast was very good.
Main reason we booked was For the pool, got breakfast early and went down with kids and were told pool was closed for cleaning and they weren't sure when it would be open. Although I appreciate the issue was unavoidable I don't think it was dealt with in a timely manner.. Considering the pool opened at 9 and was already closed when we got there at 8.50 the incident must have happened the night before and not dealt with. Given that it was Easter weekend with lots of families visiting for use of the pool this was very disappointing.
Otherwise It was a nice hotel and I would visit again.
I enjoyed staying at the Clayton hotel. Everything was great in my room, but my friends’ room did not have complementary coffee and tea. Security was great at night.
Pros -Great location for shopping, very clean hotel, comfortable rooms. Underground car park was handy especially as the weather was bad. Dinner and breakfast great. Cons -Checkin was slow as one of the check in pods was broken and bar service very slow, especially for cocktails. Would definitely stay again.
Our stay was terrible as the property was full of people smoking weed, at the lobby door, in the foyer and throughout the hallways leading to the elevators.it was an intimidating situation for small kids. Also €240 for the night and then €10 on top for parking
Struggling at check in on my own with bags and baby receptionist ignored me so used online she didn't even acknowledge me while waiting for assistance. Struggling to check in holding baby on kiosk tool ages. Rang 0 for room service three times no answer reception didn't phone back walked to a KFC. Disappointed as wanted room service. Went for breakfast and all the Breakfast staff were all lovely very welcoming to restaurant. Young girl on reception on checking out much nicer room could have been cleaner and no cot on arrival had to phone for one

Nice but noisy.
Room was nice, ample space. However room was very warm at night. There was a fan but was noisy. The room backed into the motorway and traffic was noisy. Double glazing window didn’t block the sound.
