South Korea Winery Accommodation

As the hotel is advertised as on airport it requires you to take a courtesy bus to get to it, these only run every 30 minutes, dropping to hourly in the evening. I nearly missed the bus going to the hotel as the driver pulled up behind a bus for a different hotel so I only just noticed it at the last minute. On board it was extremely busy with only a couple of seats remaining. As everyone arrived at the hotel at the same time off the bus, checking in was extremely slow having to wait for the people in front of the queue to be served. The actual check in itself was excellent once I reached the desk. In the morning I had breakfast, which was very good with plenty of choice between western and local food. Anticipating that many people would be heading back the airport I made sure I was near the front of the queue for the 07:00 bus, good job I did as the bus was full on departure, I’m sure we left some people behind.

We stayed for our entire 14 night visit while in Seoul. The hotel was easy to find from our airport bus stop and check-in was easy. There also seem to be a self check-in/out kiosks but they had plenty of reception staff ready. An ATM and WowPass machine were also in the lobby which was very convenient. Subway and bus access was nearby which made travel throughout the areas easy. We were able to explore the area and found how close we were to great food as well as some touristy spots. Our room was clean and well-stocked with a full washer and dryer and a Samsung Air Dresser which I loved. The bedroom closet was spacious but could have used additional hangers. We made do with a pack from the local Daiso. The kitchen space was great but we missed having a coffe maker. We did have an electric water kettle which we made do with by picking up some pour over coffee packets from grocery store. The other item I missed would be either a kitchen towel or paper towels. Again, not a huge inconvenience and made do with one of the hand towels. We tried the breakfast buffet twice which we found was ok. We usually had other options in the area or found something from a cafe on the way to where we were going. One of the 'negative' experiences we had was partly our fault but felt like staff could have handled better with a little communication. Everything you need for an extended stay close into the airport. Breakfast is really good and very diverse, something for everyone. Small town feel, quiet, with lots of dining options, great parks and trails. Very large rooms, ours had a clothes washer and drying rack which worked out well. Location is next to Unseo Station and cannot be more convenient!

I stayed at the Lotte City Hotel and overall had a good experience. The location is excellent, very convenient for getting around the area and close to restaurants and transportation. The hotel is comfortable and works well for a city stay. On the downside, the single beds felt a bit too firm for my taste, and the carpet cleanliness could be improved. The staff were very friendly and kind. Staff always made us feel welcomed. The room was clean and a bit small but perfect if you don’t plan to be in the room all day. The hotel has a WOWPASS kiosk in the lobby which was perfect for money exchange when needed. The hotel is right next to multiple restaurants and convenience stores and 3 minutes from City Hall bus station. Overall, highly recommend.

The Grand Hyatt Seoul has a fantastic location above Itaewon with beautiful views, and that's about all it has going for it. The service was among the worst I have experienced at a hotel in this category. I repeatedly asked for housekeeping and no one ever came. Turndown service simply doesn't exist here. For a property charging luxury rates, these are basics, not extras. Credit where it's due: a manager kindly moved me to a renovated room, which was a welcome gesture, and breakfast was decent enough. But one helpful staff member cannot make up for a hotel that seems indifferent to its guests. If you are considering the Grand Hyatt for a Seoul trip, I would strongly recommend the Four Seasons instead — comparable location in old Seoul, and they actually understand what service means.
