Staff really stood out! They were lovely and helpful. I messaged to say we were arriving before check-in so would there be anywhere we could get changed/leave our bags so they did our room first to ensure we could get in it on arrival! Breakfast was tasty with actually nice vegan bacon and the room was incredible with a gorgeous bath!

Having an attached 24hr cafe, was great if you couldn't get back from days out until late. Staff were zuper friendly, and did their jobs well. Food was very good value, fresh and well presented.

Hotel has a lovely location right on the river and ideal for accessing Hadrian’s wall. Staff were very friendly. We had dinner and breakfast which was good especially after a full day of cycling.

Having recently stayed at Langley Castle, I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. My wife and I travel extensively, and it is rare that you find somewhere where you immediately 'feel at home'. This is largely due to the genuine and warm hospitality shown by all of the staff throughout our stay. On top of this the breakfast and service in the restaurant was outstanding and certainly befitting of such a special hotel. The tour of the castle is not to be missed either. Our room, which was in the main castle itself was very impressive with a magnificent 4 poster bed and had a real feel of grandeur. Despite having exposed stone walls the room was extremely clean and free from dust which must be a real challenge in such an old building. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will be back. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at The Hog’s Head Inn. The room was really comfortable and, most importantly, actually spacious enough for a family of five! 😂 All of the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the food was great too. A brilliant option for families and we’d definitely stay again.

Our room was clean but the room was very dark with just a small window at one end overlooking a yard. Staff were all very helpful & breakfast was good. We didn’t feel there was a lot of choice on menu for evening meal
