Northumberland Hotels with Parking

Having recently stayed at Langley Castle, I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I have had in a long time. My wife and I travel extensively, and it is rare that you find somewhere where you immediately 'feel at home'. This is largely due to the genuine and warm hospitality shown by all of the staff throughout our stay. On top of this the breakfast and service in the restaurant was outstanding and certainly befitting of such a special hotel. The tour of the castle is not to be missed either. Our room, which was in the main castle itself was very impressive with a magnificent 4 poster bed and had a real feel of grandeur. Despite having exposed stone walls the room was extremely clean and free from dust which must be a real challenge in such an old building. Overall, a wonderful stay and we will be back. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at The Hog’s Head Inn. The room was really comfortable and, most importantly, actually spacious enough for a family of five! 😂 All of the staff were really friendly and welcoming, and the food was great too. A brilliant option for families and we’d definitely stay again.

Our room was clean but the room was very dark with just a small window at one end overlooking a yard. Staff were all very helpful & breakfast was good. We didn’t feel there was a lot of choice on menu for evening meal

The room was dusty, staircase leading to the pool had cobwebs and many dead insects on them. The shower in the pool area used after swimming was mouldy along the bottom of the shower tray at the front. The food in the restaurant was very good, however it would be of benefit to customers who want to book the restaurant if the hotel explained before booking that you can choose food from both of the available menus.

We stayed overnight and someone had thrown up outside the toilets. It wasn’t so much cleaned up as moved around which spoiled the stay somewhat. Even the following morning the reception area and toilets reeked of sick. A one off I’m sure but could have been cleaned up better.

We were a family of 3 plus a cockapoo staying in The Tweed. The room was perfect for us. Loved the decor and attention to detail. It was nice to sit in the sun in the morning in the little garden with a coffee and listen to the birds. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub. The food was ok but the service could have been better. We booked in advance and were seated straight away but we found nobody came over to ask if we wanted drinks and we ended up having to stand in the queue at the bar. Some staff seemed ran off their feet whilst others seemed a little idle. We would have likely ordered more drinks had we been asked. Breakfast was great, nice choice. Love the location.
