VERY unsafe and dirty. Staff doesn't care.

This was really one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a hotel. I travel a lot for both work and family and we were asked to use this hotel during the Colorado Crossroads Volleyball tournament in Denver. Never again. This was so bad that I will never use an IHG Hotel again either. The night I arrived I was accosted by a homeless person. When I told the front desk that i was worried about my safety (no parking on the premises that night), the clerk just shrugged. No assurances over my safety walking from the offsite parking back into the hotel. we were there with 15 year old girls and it was very scary for them to be confronted by aggressive people located at the front of the building. The pool was unusable -- green and extremely dirty. The room was very dirty, so much so that no one dared sit on the sofa. When I called the front desk to get linens for the pull out they said "come get them yourself." By the end of day 2 the entire team had checked out because they felt unsafe and it was so dirty. One team member's family had to call a noise complaint into the local police and when they arrived they arrested the man in the next room. The front desk had little to no control over the vagrants coming in and out of the lobby which left everyone feeling incredibly unsafe. Will NOT use this hotel, or this chain, ever again.

I appreciated the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of the facilities. Even the first time I called to inquire about my reservation I got an actual person at the front desk not a 12 step automated system. On top of that the room was excellent (loved the kitchenette), the breakfast was wonderful (eggs or omelettes, meat, potatoes all freshly made), and then there was Happy Hour with free drinks and appetizers. All of this was offered for a price well below what some of the more exclusive hotels in the area offered. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I will go back when I am in downtown Denver.

Just travelled with our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 grown teens) so we did find the room quite cramped...next time would book the 2 queen beds as opposed to the queen with pullout. Beyond that, the amenities were great! Gym was spacious with good options of equipment and great space to workout - very clean. Pool was a bonus. The hot breakfast was a great addition - lots of options to get our day started off right. Access to public transportation from this location was excellent!

Overall, the stay was very good. The room was clean and the hotel offers great complimentary food and drinks. Security was good and I felt safe staying there. My only complaint is that house keeping did not come until 6 in the afternoon after we had already come back to the hotel for the day, so we would turn them away since we were in there. This was everyday of our stay except one.
