All staff I interacted with were smiley and very pleasant, a spacious clean room and bathroom with plenty of hot water, a room was very warm during the night mainly because of weather but the room had a fan. If you are driving this hotel is perfect but I wasn’t, and public transport was scarce and took me a while to get my head around it hence one star less for me. Over all though, I enjoyed staying there so I’m sure I’ll be back again.

The staff were very nice and helpful. I will point out that as per terms and conditions (apparently) although I couldn’t find them you have to pay for use of leisure facilities.

Just want to preface this by saying I did enjoy my stay here, the staff are wonderful and it's in a nice quiet area. However, I did notice that the air filter thing in the bathroom was absolutely caked in dust and the breakfast was somewhat lacking, the sausages were like chewing rubber and the beans were quite thin.

Not great for a mercure

Not worth the price. Rooms weren’t particularly clean, we found 3 bugs within 10 minutes. Bathrooms are dated. Tv signal was non existent. Breakfast was crusty scrambled egg and stale bread. The cheese and ham section didn’t get restocked. Honestly premier inn is much better and better priced

Shambles of a Hotel

I arrived at the hotel at 10pm after a 14 hour flight from Shanghai and a two hour drive from Heathrow. Upon arrival I was told that the hotel was overbooked and the room I had booked was gone! I was sent to another hotel 10km away which I had no choice but to accept. Apparently it is typical of this hotel to overbook and disappoint customers. Disgraceful way to run a hotel and needless to say I won’t ever book this appalling hotel again.

Staff were great and helpful. I used the pool and sauna, both clean and good standard. Proper 3 foot single beds in twin room, not half of a double bed. All you can eat breakfast had cooked English, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, deli meats and cheese, croissant type stuff, fruit juices, tea and coffee etc. The place is quite large with many conference rooms, restaurant, bar, outside courtyard, leisure centre also included steam room and gym equipment. Situated among residential housing there are no great views but altogether very good place to stay for access to this south west midlands area. Only minus was chips and flaking paint on the room’s bathroom door.
