Lot of space, plenty of beds, nice neighborhood. Could have been perfect for large family gathering.
However:
1. No hot water, no stove top burners, no oven. Gas company had turned off and padlocked the gas meter because the owner didn't pay the bill. Strike one.
2. Hot tub inoperable. Host unable to repair. Strike two.
3. Toilet seats falling off, thresholds between rooms coming apart and tripping hazard. Strike three.
PS Host finally got gas turned back on halfway through our stay. Also comped a night. Partial redemption.
We have stayed at many a Vrbo. Most have been managed well - responsive, hospitable, aiming to please. Others are afterthoughts. Hey, we have an empty house, let's Vrbo.
Advice: check with host to make certain bills have been paid and utilities are functioning prior to arrival.
