I like that the hotel was in a quiet area and still not too far from the downtown area. It was surrounded by a beautiful lake that you could walk around or have fun and paddle boat on the lake.

Enjoyable Stay

The Omni was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I called the hotel a couple of days before our arrival to inquire about something and was asked if our stay was for business or pleasure. I told them that we would be celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. To our surprise upon checking in, our room had been upgraded to a Mandalay balcony suite with a beautiful view of the Mandalay Canal and the Dallas skyline. We loved it!

The property is beautiful. Had a great view. The pool area was very nice with a bar. The gym was clean with new and updated equipment. The breakfast restaurant Flossie’s food was really good.

This hotel is a good balance of important factors -- its nice, more affordable than downtown, yet still has very good proximity to the DFW area as it takes only a minute to get onto the highway. There are reasonable food options in the area, so if you're like us and you like to come back to the hotel to relax before heading out again, its great. We had some issues with our cards desyncing, creating a minor headache with room/garage access. The staff were very helpful and gave us several coupons for free beverages, and a nice credit back for our trouble. Overall, would definitely stay again.

I absolutely loved my stay at the Omni Las Colinas. It was superb. The front desk personnel were nice and friendly. Check in and check out went smooth. My room was on the 22nd floor overlooking Lake Carolyn and it was such a beautiful view especially at night. Room was nice and clean and roomy. The bed was so comfy and I loved the ambiance at this establishment.

While I average over 30 hotel nights a year, this was the first time in a long time I’ve stayed at an Omni - and I was very pleasantly surprised by the excellent service and strong range of amenities at this property. I stayed here for easy access to a concert at the nearby venue; it was a nice walk to and from the venue and an area with a good range of restaurants and weekend entertainment. The hotel was ready to check me in early after I let them know via text, which I really appreciated. Everyone from front desk to bartenders was very friendly and helpful. Great outdoor pool area / bar / lawn with games for hanging outside in the sunny DFW weather. Lovely indoor lobby area / bar / restaurant. Room was spacious and well laid out. Room service breakfast was surpringly good, and not outrageously expensive: creative food presentation, excellent taste, timely delivery. Will definitely stay here again when in DFW and recommend it to friends in the area as a possible event venue.
