Really liked the decor! The room had an industrial look & feel which was a new experience. Bathroom had a barn door that wouldn’t stay closed.

The whole place is unique, very clean and friendly
The hotel charged an additional $175 Expedia fee and a $20 hotel facility fee. I paid in full for all 3 nights of my hotel stay via hotels.com. Also they charged several other fees and taxes even though I had paid in full on hotels.com. In addition we ordered room service and waited an hour and never received it. The room service charges were removed. There were people partying at the roof top pool nightly and on our last night Saturday there was very loud noise music till 5:00 am.
Of course we liked the rooftop pool, but it was basically not useable until the morning after our check-in because of constant, MTV-style parties leading up to Labor Day (or maybe they occur all the time). The music being played was littered with constant obscenities so even if there was room in or around the pool for us we would not have stayed during these time periods. I was a club DJ myself in college in Minneapolis so I am hardly a prude. The scene was just a little over the top. I get that leasing or renting out the pool during the day when most guests are checking-out or checking-in is an additional revenue stream and might be necessary for economic survival...but you asked what we didn't like so I'm just taking the opportunity to share. The next morning, at 9:00 am...it was perfect however.
We loved the room. It was really cool how they design the room and the lobby. The only downside to staying at the Canvas was that the rooftop was open to the public. So when trying to fall asleep we would hear people party up top. Due the rooftop being open to the public my wife and I were unable to find a parking space in both parking lots. Overall it was a moderate stay. Thank you!
