Covington Ski Resorts

This is a beautiful historic inn. Shout out to Sandra, Brett and Veronica in the spa which is peaceful and well stocked. Robes are grubby looking but very warm whuch was needed. There was a scheduling mix up but the staff worked quickly to compensate for the inconveience. The check in desk was often busy. Lots of standing around and trying to fill out forms in a flimsy folder. Better to have a clip board. Spa was very clean. In the hotel, I saw room service trays and cleaning cloths left out. The room itself was clean and small but the desk was seriously scuffed. Not expected given such an expensive room. Nice size closet. Restaurants were all good but pricey. And it was not always clear which places were open. Signage in the lobby would help. The concierge desk had a trainee and was the one who did nit actually confirm our spa appointments correctly. We had booked a hike which was a definite highlight with Cooper. We also enjoyed the history tour. No good shuttle arrangements given we arrived by train. It ended up being $150 one way to get to Clifton Forge. The 260th birthday daily celebration was a treat with live pianomusic

The room did not feel clean at all. The carpet was so old and dirty, I did not even want to step on it. There was water leaking from under the toilet, the towels provided were so used that they could tear anytime. We could not find more than one electric outlet - that too, under the desk. Very old and poorly maintained, and I had to pay a lot for just 1 night. Not coming back to this property again

They over charged me by $50.00 dollars, whiteout any valid reason.

The breakfast menu could have been better. I had no problem parking. It was safe.

It was a fairly average place. Had all the necessities. Facility condition was below average. It felt quite safe.

Scenic location, clean room. However, it took 5 minutes for the water in the bathroom to warm up, ten minutes to get hot, all the while water was stopping up in the shower. Also, speakers on TV did not work.
