Clean but shabby
The motel was rundown on the outside crumbling brick walkway, old rock salt and cigarette butts on the stairs. Inside there were holes and damage on the walls and stained ceilings, stains on the blanket, the curtains would not close completely leaving the bed visible to anyone outside,no clothes hangers in the room and an ironing board rack without an iron or board. On the plus side, the room was clean except for fingerprints on the TV and mirror. The front desk employee was very nice and provided hangers on request. I prepaid 3 nights to hotels.com, but had asthma triggered by allergies and couldn't sleep the first night so we checked out by the designated checkout time the next day and moved to a different motel where I did not have asthma. I don't know what allergen triggered the asthma attack but believe something in the room caused it. I requested a refund for the 2 nights we did not stay and the motel referred us to Hotels.com,. Hotels.com initially said the motel would refund one night not two which makes no sense. No refund at all was issued.
