It lies 430 kilometres northwest of Rome, the national capital of Italy.

Only 45 kilometres west of Cipressa is La Turbie. This place give access to one of the region's biggest drawcards, the Casino Monte Carlo.

Airole is located 30 kilometres west. The trip out here is made worthwhile by Pont Vieux alone.
