Sure, you could spend your entire break just in Chunghak, but you'd really be missing out. For some truly epic memories, you've gotta check out North Jeolla's other sights. Nature buffs should check out Chunghak's stunning coastal plains. A few other gotta-see sights to stick on your hit list are old towns and fortresses. If the weather is nice (or even if it's not), you could also get out there and try your hand at some fabulous activities like snowboarding.

Looking for things to do? Consider spending some time enjoying the Jeonju Zoo and the Sori Arts Center of Jeolla. You'll find them in Jeonju, 35 kilometres to the northeast of Chunghak. The Jeonju Tourist Hotel and Benikea Jeonju Hansung Tourist Hotel are a few of the great hotel and apartment options here. 50 kilometres to the south of Chunghak you'll also find Gwangju, home to the Holiday Inn Gwangju and Ramada Plaza Gwangju. If you're staying in Gwangju, set aside a little time to visit the Chosun University Museum of Art and May 18 Democracy Square.

Unless you're planning to spend a night on the floor of Gunsan Airport, it's probably a good idea to book some accommodation before you leave. The Western Hotel is close by, or you could always travel into Chunghak's centre. It's 35 kilometres away.
