The nation's capital city, Seoul, is situated 200 kilometres to the north of Chopo.

You'll discover some lovely natural sights surrounding Chopo. Why not set out 40 kilometres to Naejangsan National Park? Alternatively, appreciate the different sights and sounds of Byeonsan-bando National Park, 20 kilometres away.

Nothing compares to the atmosphere of a live soccer match! See the Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors lock horns with the opposition on their home turf at Jeonju World Cup Stadium, an impressive arena 35 kilometres away in Jeonju.

If you're looking to do some exploring, add a trip to Gimje to your travel plan. This destination is 16 kilometres to the east and is the home of Arirang Literature Museum and Dongjin Irrigation Folk Museum. Want some more ideas? Jeongeup is 25 kilometres to the southeast of Chopo and offers Chungnyeolsa Shrine and the Donghak Peasants Revolution Memorial Hall.
