Staff was amazing and extremely accommodating for our pop-up needs. Room is big. Bed is comfortable. On this trip, they didn't keep breakfast stocked the entire serving window, but everything else was great. Much, much better than another hotel in the area we stayed at last month.

Honestly, this was one of the worst Holiday Inn Expresses that I have stayed at. Everything seemed to be broken or cheaply replaced (maybe they had remodeled it). For example, the door numbers were pieces of paper taped on to the doors. One of the two elevators was out of service. One of the two ice machines was out of service. Most Holiday Inn Expresses rotate some of the offerings for breakfast but it was the same every day. The water pressure and water temperature in the Shower was too weak and never got hot (most hotels hot water on the shower will scald you) and the pressure in the sink was way too high that it would splattered out of the sink. The sidewalks were cleaned off and the parking spots were cleared of snow but they didn't clear the curb at all so you would step in a a small amount of snow which made the parking lot slicker than if they hadn't cleared it. The room did not have a thermostat which made it difficult to keep the room comfortable.

Two issues of note: The pool. It was rather cool in this area, making it uncomfortable. Concerning the room. The bed covering was very warm. It would be nice if there was a lighter weight blanket option in the room.

The room was newly painted and seemed clean. We were placed in a handicap room at the end of the hall which we appreciated because it was a hockey weekend with a bunch of kids staying - and they weren’t quiet. We didn’t get to use the hot tub or pool because they took it over. One of two elevators was out of service and the tv reception was terrible. The screen was flashing the picture as too many people were on the system and the service couldn’t keep up. The staff was a little rude but rarely seen. The breakfast is nothing to be excited about. The meat was overcooked and dry. But parking was free and it was clean.
