Central Massachusetts Ski Resorts

the room was kinda clean... that is pretty much the only good thing I can say. the water was white - don't understand how that happens but needless to say we didn't drink it. the room smelled. there was a hole in the ceiling plugged with a wad of paper. the bed was so hard it hurt. there was a loud party in the room next door that went from 1 am-6 am and the staff refused to do anything about it. we spent one night there and tried to cancel the rest of our reservation because it was so bad but they wouldn't give us our money back. DONT STAY HERE!

Great place to stay

Staying at colonial hotel inbetween our wachusetts runs never disappoints. With great food, cozy atmosphere and decor, gym, pull and arcade, what else can one traveling with kids can ask for!

When I made this reservation, no one told me it was in the middle of being updated/renovated. To get to my room I had to traverse a long hallway (whose carpeted floor was lined with plastic sheeting), while dodging, staging and workers plastering/sanding the walls. The ceiling was open, exposing all wiring and plumbing. When I got to my room, it appeared in decent condition. However, there was a foul septic odor emanating from the toilet that lingered off and on throughout my stay. My sleep that night was disrupted by outdoor traffic (the building is on the corner of a very busy intersection). Trucks were rumbling through most of the night. The shower flow was barely adequate. The second day I was woken, at 6:00 AM, to a bevy of boisterous voices coming from the room next door. Apparently there is little or no soundproofing. I considered asking to move to another room, but I afraid I would confront the same conditions elsewhere. At present, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, nor do I have plans on staying there again. I wish I could get a refund, or some form of remuneration. On a more positive note, the staff was pleasant.

The room was clean but floor had soft spots, needed more blankets for extra bed, tv was very dark and couldn’t be lightened.
