We stayed at The Station Hotel purely because of its proximity to the railway station but found it such an enjoyable experience that we are already planning a return visit. It is an old building, part of the historic centre of the city, and at the moment there is a certain amount of traffic disruption because of a genera[ upgrading of the area but we were not ina car and were not effected by this, Very friendly, helpful staff bit on the desk and around the hotel. Tajnk you for a lovely visit.

Carlisle central next to station and csr parking

Once again I arrived fairly late and left relatively early so only had contact with 3 staff around reception who were all great. The room was roasting when I got in (not a complaint as the radiators were easy to control and better than being the other way round. No remote for the TV and being late I couldn't be bothered to ask. The bathroom was very tired and could do with modernising. Hotel is right next to the station in the the centre of town so very convenient with paid parking next to the hotel too.
