Disappointed over swimming availability. We had booked a two night stay with a spa treatment. The blond receptionist was far from welcoming when we popped our heads round to find out where the swimming and spa facilities were located. Times for using the pool were restricted as it was also open to non residents. Unfortunately, times did not suit so we were unable to use the pool. In fact we never got to see the pool.
Amazing service, staff freind and welcoming.
Spa treatment 10 out 10.
Brunch and breakfast fresh and healthy.
Restaurant was closed the day we went so cant comments,
We attended for 1 night for some peace and quiet before our third baby’s arrival. We booked a double room with breakfast.
Ok arrival our room was ready at 3pm. Ladies on reception told us where our room was and that the spa opens at 5pm which suited us although would have been lovely to be able to access from arrival.
We were given instructions to our room but no instructions on how to access the spa etc or even where it is / whether there are changing facilities there or to walk down ready etc. Room was very clean, nice size, wasn’t completely to my taste but nice and modern. We were greeted with a congratulations card and brownie which was a lovely touch.
We decided to dress ‘ready’ with clothes on top when we were able to access. Had to return to reception for instructions and pointed where to go and info regards to changing rooms etc.
spa pool area was beautiful but small, minimal seating options which mean people leaving towels on floor and perching in the pool until a bed became available, similar to all inclusive hotel vibes! Pool was quite cold and other than steam room, no other facilities included. You were welcome to pay £25 each to access the outdoor pool for 1 hour but that it, not something we’ve experienced before.
Beds were comfortable, rooms were overwhelmingly warm which meant using a fan and windows open in March…
Breakfast in the morning was beautiful but again, people waiting around for a seat.
Overall nice but wouldn’t return unfortunately.
Stayed here last night with my job and definitely will be back such a clean tidy hotel and lovely staff and beautiful room and the food was excellent i will be back
We stayed in the Tower....deluxe room apparently. Yes it was big but a few points to note..
Kettle was across the room from the tea making facilities, would expect it to be with the facilities not to carry a kettle across the room.
Bathroom door opened into bedroom..into the chair at the dressing table..not a good spot if using the table. Had to move chair out of the way.
Shower head holder..it was impossible to move the shower head down the holder, if shorter in height and it appeared to be held on loosely with one screw.
Paper thin wall, could hear the tv very clearly and conversation when in bathroom from next door.
Food and service..absolutely excellent. Room a disappointment.
Amazing location and facility, staff were so helpful! Room was clean and tidy but could hear next door’s conversations quite clearly! Spa worth a visit and breakfast was fantastic

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Food was amazing and very friendly helpful service.
Room was a bit noisy with paper thin wall and we could hear conversatiosn from the room next door.
Couldn't turn the temperatrure of the shower down and was way too hot for comfort.
Stunning location and facilities. A real gem of a hotel and one that I would happily stay at again. The staff were impeccable. The room, memorable and the food and service, exceptional.
Really lovely stay with good facilities and nice staff. My only complaint was that our room was next to the door way where we could hear everything in the corridor and there were people fighting outside in the middle of the night. So definitely avoid Clock Tower room 1. Also, it would be good if the spa could have a few more seated areas as we had to leave as there was no where to sit. We did come back later though and then we ended up having the spa area to ourselves. Would definitely stay here again as it was lovely, we just wouldn’t stay in the same room.
