We are a friend group of four visiting Cancun for the first time, and unfortunately our stay at Sea Dust Cancun All-Inclusive Resort has been extremely disappointing from the moment we arrived. Upon check-in, we were immediately pressured to pay extra to upgrade our rooms. We declined, as we had already booked what we expected to be comfortable accommodations. Despite requesting a month in advance for our two rooms to be located together, we were initially assigned rooms on completely different floors (second and fourth). After declining the paid upgrade, we were then suddenly given rooms on the 11th and 12th floors — which felt less like a courtesy and more like a sales tactic that didn’t reflect genuine service. The biggest issue, however, was the condition of the rooms, which looked nothing like the photos online. • The bathroom was visibly old and not properly cleaned • The shower had a bad odor and an outdated, non-adjustable fixture • The water was cold • There were stains on the bedsheets • The bedding was inadequate — no proper comforters • The jacuzzi tub had visible dirt when we tried to fill it, showing it had not been cleaned Within the first 30 minutes of being in the room, we reported these concerns to reception, but we were told there were no better rooms available. After spending approximately $4,000 for this vacation, being told to simply accept these conditions was extremely frustrating. This was meant to be a special first friend trip to Mexico, and the

We stayed 6 nights at Seadust Family Resort as a family of six (2 adults, kids 13, 12, 10 & 5) and had a great experience overall. The lobby is large and welcoming, and check-in was smooth. Guests 13+ receive a wristband that doubles as a room key, which was very convenient. We stayed in Room 111. While slightly dated, it was spacious and comfortable, with a bunk bed (plus trundle) and two double beds. The minibar was stocked daily, and housekeeping did a great job. Rooms on higher floors appear more updated. The buffet offered good variety, and we enjoyed the specialty restaurants: steakhouse, Italian, Japanese, and a Mexican lunch spot near the water park. There’s also a coffee shop and Cactus for lighter snacks. There are 3 large pools, a kids pool, and a water park. The zipline and mini golf were closed, but tennis and basketball courts are available. There are about 4 bars, karaoke on Level 1, a theater, and daily entertainment. Beach chairs are limited but the beach was clear and enjoyable. Checkout is at noon, but you receive a day pass to continue using most facilities. The hospitality room has showers, cubicles with TVs, ATMs, and even a doctor’s office. Not luxury, but very family-friendly and fun. We made wonderful memories.

The lift was not working and no one bothered to make it correct for that we had to walk around all the way to the other lift. Staff was not cooperative in any manner. They knocked on my door on Sunday morning to just know about the cleaning service requirement and tried to come inside without permission. Asked for food to be delivered in my room for my mom but they denied for that too.

Our jacuzzi in the room was very dirty when we went to fill it up the second night and I complained to the front desk and it took them two days to clean it and it was still spitting out dirt when we turned it on again. Also one of our two bathroom sinks was clogged almost the entire stay here. We’ve got maintenance sent up to our room 3 times during our stay after I went down to the front desk a handful of times. The front desk staff were not very friendly to me and seemed to brush me off every time I asked for maintenance to be sent up even though i was nice about it every time. I did enjoy the bartenders and entertainment team as well as the restaurant and buffet food a lot! Lastly, they don’t have heated pools so that was a bit of a disappointment but the beach and sea were very nice!

Staff and services were amazing! Food was great and there are many options, buffet changes regularly. We were in the oceanfront king suite and the views were unbeatable! Our room was always cleaned very well and we had the most relaxing stay. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for all inclusive.

Poor customer service We were charged twice on check in even though we told them the charge had gone thru on the credit card. The refund they gave was not for the whole amount and we had to go repeatedly to talk to the manager who kept saying they could not do anything and the fault was the credit card company. We wasted a lot of time and they finally agreed it was their fault but the accounting department will refund the money but not on the credit card they have on file. We were very frustrated and disappointed and had to leave for our flight without the issue being resolved. Why can’t a big resort resolve this issue promptly? We were there for 4 nights and wasted a lot of time trying to resolve this issue.Manager was not helpful and we waited a long time to even speak to him.
