From the start of the trip everything went smooth. Since the moment you enter the lobby you are greeted by someone and they take care of your luggage while also being offered drinks while waiting to be helped. When I got to my room the bellhop made sure to bring my suitcase to me. Everyone in the staff was warm and welcoming and beyond helpful. I did not have a single bad experience during my stay.

This was my first time staying at Sandos and I wasn’t sure what to expect. We had a wonderful time. We loved the room. It was spacious and had everything we needed. We picked a balcony lagoon view/beach view and it was nice. I’d be happy to pick the pool/beach view too. We had a complimentary wine and a bunch of drinks in the mini fridge, also a super nice coffee maker with coffee pods. The pool itself exceeded my expectations. It looked way better than the pictures. The pools were always clean and the water was nice. The one downside to the pool was that there was never any spots available. The whole five days we were there. There were spots open for “reserved” elite members but unfortunately not us. That didn’t hinder our experience through because we are more beach people anyway. The beach. AMAZING! I know you can’t control the seaweed but they did their best to clean up. We had a few days where the beach was super nice. The beach cabanas were always available. They had shade and they had curtains on the side for privacy. There was always someone from the bar coming down to take your drink orders.

I was unable to get reservations for one of the restaurants. I booked a room with two beds & I was forced to share a bed with my travel partner. I was told there wasn't any rooms available. The air conditioner in the room is was leaking. A puddle was in the room when I returned from excursions. They sent someone to fix it!

The staff was great, friendly and very helpful. The app they use is convenient to make reservations to their restaurants however there was one event masquerade dinner that was on their app, we were so excited for it that when we walked over to it we were told that it was by reservation only :( their app never stated that it was by reservation only. We were super disappointed since we had attended their Mexican night previously and it was such a great evening, good food options, entertainment Las Tres Maria’s performance, loved them. Just a wonderful time. It is an older hotel, so we did have some issues with the shower pressure and also no hot water at times on. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

The staff, including management, appeared more focused on aggressively promoting the timeshare program rather than delivering quality service and ensuring a positive guest experience. Upon arrival, there was no proper introduction to the property or its amenities—only a strong push for timeshare participation. The ATM was non-functional for the entire eight-day stay, and the front desk was unable to provide change for tipping, which created an ongoing inconvenience. Additionally, a water damage issue in our room went unaddressed for two full days despite multiple requests, and no compensation or meaningful response was offered by the staff. Lastly, the pool experience could be significantly enhanced if the infinity flow system and overflow mechanisms were functioning properly. Several other guests we spoke with also noted this issue. We did enjoy the pool activities, location including ocean view and breakfast options were average compared to lunch / dinner. Oddly, there was no authentic Mexican cuisine not even at lunch.

The majority of staff were five star, however dealing with the managers after we extended our stay for one day we got to run around and ended up having to pay more than we expected. One of the restaurant managers in the resort was extremely rude and obnoxious. Also, we had to change rooms because of the excessive noise and the new room had less noise, but a view of construction.

Let me start by saying this definitely wasn’t what I expected. I came here assuming it would be the same quality as Sandos Cabo—but I was absolutely wrong. When I arrived, I was told my room didn’t have the ocean view I had paid for, so I had to upgrade for an additional $100 per day just to get what I originally booked. Then I was informed I’d need to make dinner reservations with the concierge. When I tried to do that, I was told that every restaurant was fully booked for my entire stay—despite the fact that I was traveling alone. How is this all inclusive since I couldn’t eat anywhere, but the buffet restaurant. At Sandos Cabo, one of the best parts is that you don’t need to make reservations for any of the restaurants—you just show up. That’s what an all-inclusive should be. The room I was given here in Cancun was large and did face the ocean, but it was outdated, not very clean, and one of the showers was broken. The TVs in the room are smart TVs but aren’t even connected to WiFi, so nothing works—no Netflix, no YouTube, no channels at all. The staff themselves were kind and respectful throughout my stay—but the quality of the accommodations just doesn’t match. The location is nice if you’re looking to be away from the party scene and nightclubs—definitely take an Uber if you’re heading to the strip, not a taxi. But overall, I was very disappointed with Sandos Cancun. The place is old and grimmy go elsewhere
