We loved our stay at RIU Peninsula—overall, everything was great! The food was amazing, and the vibes throughout the resort were fantastic. However, we did have three main issues during our trip.
First, my sister’s phone was stolen while we were in the pool, which was really upsetting. Second, the guests in the room next to ours constantly argued, especially at night and even around midnight. We reported it to the front desk, hoping they would address it, but unfortunately, nothing was done. The receptionist only told us that there had already been multiple complaints about those guests. We could even hear the man hitting the woman—it was extremely disturbing. I really feel that RIU should have either intervened or at least moved us to a different room. It affected our experience, as I couldn’t sleep for three nights because of the noise and situation.
Lastly, when we first arrived and went out to our balcony, my mom sat in one of the beach chairs, which appeared to be fine. However, it turned out to be broken, and she fell backwards. Thankfully, once we reported it, they did replace the chair right away.
Despite those issues, the food and service were absolutely perfect. After everything, we still had a great time—those few problems just took away a bit from an otherwise amazing experience
