The location could not have been better. There is a saying which goes "location location". The apartment was very roomy and the owners informed us about upcoming work being done around the outside. Everything you would want in your own home was available. It was very apparent that the owners wanted to provide as many amenities as one would expect and what you have in your own home. Each room had it own heat/air and tv. The living/dinning/ kitchen area was one large room, but separated and very well done. Our downside was that the couch was very hard to get up from because it was so low. Also the bathroom needs more lighting. My wife was aware of a musty smell. A dehumidifier was provided, which was emptied several times a day. With all said and done, I would stay there again and would recommend staying there to anyone that wants something that makes you feel like you were at your own home. We wanted a place to relax and would allow us to feel like being at home and this place fit that need.

Nice enough stay. The room needs some updates, especially the bathroom. The cleaning staff were nice but very loud in the hallway in the morning - would have liked to sleep in.

The shower curtain leaked all over the floor. Our room was ok.

This historic hotel has beautiful rooms and a great view of the Ohio and downtown Historic Madison. I highly recommend it if you are visiting Madison. Make sure you request a river-side room.

The room was acceptable for an economy stay. The room was clean, however it was very out of date. The bed was simply not comfy, we did not sleep well. The workers were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was acceptable, nothing to write home about.
