View North from top of Bowmen's Tower, Washington's Crossing, Pa Bowman's Hill Tower, (1776-1930; also known as Bowman's Tower), is a 125-foot-tall (38 m) stone tower located in Washington Crossing Historic Park in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It is administered by the Pennsylvania Historical Museum Commission. The tower was built on Bowman's Hill, which is on the dividing line between the Upper Makefield Township,and Solebury Township. There is a commemorative concrete inscription adorning the Tower above the entrance with its lifespan
Begun in September of 1929, Bowman's Hill Tower was completed in June of 1931 as a commemorative monument to George Washington and his army. Bowman's Hill Tower stands approximately 380 feet above sea level. The Tower itself is 125 feet tall and the base measures 24 square feet. On a clear day, the view from Bowman's Hill Tower encompasses a minimum 14 mile radius of the Delaware River Valley. The two bridges you can see crossing the Delaware River are the New Hope-Lambertville bridge and the Route 202 bridge. On a clear day, one can see to Trenton, New Jersey, and realize the magnitude and distance of the march Washington and his soldiers undertook in December of 1776.
Nice place to stroll around & learn about local flora. Visitors Center, picnic pavilion. Stone bridge was depression era work project.

Such a fun stay, the jacuzzi was amazing and the room decor was hilarious (we were in the jungle 🌴🐒). I did think there was a pool for all of the guests but I guess there are only a few rooms that have their own private pool. Will have to upgrade next time!
