We were there for a wedding and the location was perfect 5 minutes away from All Saints Episcopal Church and The Farrell, reception location. The staff at Aloft ALWAYS greeted you with a smile on their face! Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone in Homewood, AL!

Convenient location. Facility is in poor condition. Staff is average in general. Witnessed full on 4-5 maid staff having a full-on brawl on the 5th floor. Indicative to quality of the staff…hiring manager and staff should all be fired. Will never stay here again.

We were in Birmingham for the wedding of our dear friends' son. Aloft SoHo was on the list of recommended places to stay while we were in town. Upon arrival, the gal behind the desk greeted us and was very friendly. As we walked up to our room, we felt like we were in a dormitory of a college. The halls were hot, and the walls were all marred up. Upon entry to our room, it seemed very old and unkept. It looked clean, I will give them that, but it was stuffy (no matter what we had the ac set at, fan on/off) and the carpet looked and felt very dirty. The rest of the front desk staff (as we walked down for coffee Saturday morning) was less than friendly and acted put out when asked about coffee and menu items offered at the "breakfast bar". They were not accommodating and when the lobby was a little warm as my husband and his buddy were playing pool, the front desk employee told them to walk over and get a fan to plug into the wall by them; did not offer to do it for them. Customer service was definitely below average, the room was average, at best, and we we actually wondered why this hotel was one of the choices of places to stay. We will not be back.

Great location but expensive and a little tired.

We have stayed at this property a couple of times now. It has become very expensive in addition to now charging extra for parking and breakfast items. The facilities and rooms are looking a little tired. The SoHo area of Birmingham is charming and the hotel is well located. They are also pet friendly.

Great hospitality with a smile!

Arrived Friday afternoon & was greater at the front desk by Stephanie. She went out of her way to make us feel at home. When our daughter’s flight got cancelled, she helped us with arrangements. She went above and beyond her duties to help us at every turn. She has an infectious smile and a very welcoming manner. Our room was extremely comfortably, great beds, solid shower & water pressure and good lighting. The “breakfast” was a bit lacking, but plenty of choices walking distance from the hotel. This was our second stay here and we will be back!
