Beautiful property, junior suite, and view of lagoon and sea. Great design and helpful staff. We had an issue with smoke smell in our first room ( was supposed to be non smoking but previous guests ignored this) and the manager made it right within minutes. The young woman with long brown hair who checked us in was very professional and knowledgeable. She made everything smooth for us. Thank you

During my stay at Southern Star Club Hotel, I had an extremely disappointing experience. Upon check-in, the toilet in our room wasn’t flushing properly. I reported it to a staff member, who provided a plunger. Despite my efforts to fix it, the issue persisted. Before leaving for dinner, I informed staff again, requesting it be addressed while we were out. At 4:30 AM, the toilet became completely unusable. Staff returned and spent nearly an hour using a hose both inside and outside the room, but the problem remained unresolved. We were forced to use the shower for basic needs and rely on a separate bathroom for other necessities, creating an unsanitary and deeply uncomfortable situation. When I requested a refund for the severe inconvenience, the owner accused us of causing the damage to the toilet. Hours after we had already checked out, she sent a photograph of intact toilet paper as evidence. The image was inconsistent with materials that had gone through a sewer line, raising serious doubts about the validity of their claim and the hotel’s honesty. Despite multiple attempts to address the issue respectfully, owner refused to issue a refund and continued to place unjust blame on us. This experience was not only unacceptable and unsanitary but also a reflection of dishonest and unprofessional business practices. I strongly advise against staying at Southern Star Club Hotel to avoid similar treatment, lack of accountability, and disregard for basic guest comfort and respect.
