It can be a bit diffucult finding your way around because this hotel is split across two buildings, but the room was lovely and I enjoyed the bar, restaurant and pool.

Great for visiting Chester

Nice hotel, service very good & all staff were nice & polite. Excellent for walking into Chester, health club was great . Enjoyed breakfast Just one star knocked off due to not having room serviced & our room was right next to main road.

Good location, lacking some comforts

Good location with just a few minute walk from both coach and train stations and easy walk to the city centre. Room was clean and fairly spacious but lacking some comforts. Just above a busy road so plenty of noise, with low beams at about 1.60m height so i had to bend all the time when moving around the room. Toilet poor, requiring many attempts to flush what normally should only require one.. The breakfast was ok, solid on hot options, surprisingly lacking on cold alternatives.

Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was refreshing staying in an independently run hotel as we often stay at chain hotels. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming- nothing was too much trouble. The room was nice and the breakfast was really good. The pool and spa facilities were a really nice feature. The only niggle was that there was no air conditioning in the room. It was so warm, despite having a desk top fan, that we found it difficult to sleep. Overall, a great hotel at a reasonable price.

Mill House Hotel and Spa

Our first visit to the Mill House and we would highly recommend. The room was good size and had all we needed. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was very good. We found the bar staff also helpful and prices fair. The only downside is that the bathroom needed a little attention, some seals on shower need replacing and some wear and tear visable, but to be expected. This would not put us off returning

Breakfast was like eating at the worst service station on the motorway.staff unhelpfull espe ially at reception. Room so dusty. Fan in room looked as if not been used for such a long time, coveted in dust.Did not work. Told reception who said would sort it but never did.

This hotel is great for access to Chester main areas (5 minute walk) and close to the bus terminus if you want to go to Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks, Liverpool etc. Lovely bar area and restaurant, serving a good breakfast, however day time restaurant and bar menu's could be better. Secure hotel car park opposite the hotel £12.00 per day.Would stay again.

In a great old building with its own bridge across the canal . Very convenient for the city centre but in a really interesting place. Only downside is the dual carriageway running past. Windows closed keeps noise out, but on a hot day the noise would be a problem , though not so much overnight. Staff were friendly smart and efficient , Really enjoyed our one night stay and hope to return.
