Awful service in King Edward hotel in Banff!

Poor front desk information and service; broken TV; dirty bed and sheets; unavailable microwave or refrigerator; no breakfast; no A/C; very noisy room. Overall unqualified as a hotel!

Ma pire expérience dans un hotel. Personne a la réception pendant 20 minutes même si on téléphone et fait sonner la cloche. Le matelas est tres tres mou et pire il fait un V ce qui fait qu’on est toujours sur le ;point de tomber en bas. Il n’y a pas d’aire conditionner et le pire est que le moustiquaire n’est pas fixer et les moins tique ou souris peuvent enter dans la chambre. Les draps de lit sont comme du papier sabler et irrite la peaux. La tv est une Rolo qu’on connaît bien mais celle ci n’arrête pas de parlé par dessus l’émission que l’on écoute et impossible d’avoir notre Netflix. Au deuxième étages ou on était le restaurent voici laisse une porte ouvert qui permet d’avoir tout les odeur de cuisson de poisson jusque dans notre chambre. SVP ÉVITER CETTE HOTEL CAR A PRÈS DE $500.00 LA NUIT… Nous ne sommes pas rester pour la deuxième nuit on a payé un autre chambre d’hôtel meme s’il ne nous ont pas remboursé le deuxième nuitée.

Centrally located, which is fine on a weekday, but last Sunday there were people partying out on the street til 230 am. The next day, the elevator was out of service, so we had to carry our bags down (not a huge deal, but not great.) The room we stayed in needs updating, particularly the bathroom with peeling paint and scuff marks. The people at the front desk were very nice and courteous, just wish the place was nicer.

This is my 3rd time in this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights. It was good, convenient and safe the only down side is the room with no air conditioner. It was really hot on that day so I end up opening the windows all night good thing that our room is in 3rd floor it's okay to sleep with window open because it's not really noisy. When it comes to dining, there are a lot of restaurant nearby so we didn't have problems on choosing where and when to eat. Overall the location is really convenient.

The location can't be beat; it is the center of downtown. The ice maker was not working. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful, but are often away from the reception area doing other tasks. The room was clean and simple with a few signs of wear and tear.

Awkward check in with awkward parking; elevator not working; air conditioning not working; four different deposits on my card made me think my bank card was compromised; using "historic" but it was just old; shared kettle for the floor; $420 CDN for a hostel atmosphere; location was prime right in midst of Banff Ave; thin walls and late entering guests made for disruptive sleep.

The staff is friendly. without his help, no way to find the garage. however, 1. The hotel is very old, very small, the room is very hot. 2. very difficult to find the garage. 3. unsafe room. I was hurt in the room. In middle night, siren loudly in the room, I tried to escape and hit the table due to tiny space in the room. the hurt affected my overall trips. The worst hotel in my life tome, extremely bad experience. Avoid this hotel in any ways.

Pro: Hotel is in great location, right in the center of town. Cons: Hotel does not have on-site parking, parking garage (need key access) is two blocks away and since the main street is closed, there is no street parking in front so bringing in luggage is a struggle. Staff does help when needed. Also there is no AC in the building, my room was over 30C (about 90F) both nights.

Location is great as it right on Banff avenue and you can walk to all the places, however you have to park in the adjacent garage as hotel doesn’t have any parking. Rating it as 3 because the towel in the bathroom was worn and torn. I have been traveling for 30 years and have never seen this thing in any of the hotels even the cheaper ones.
