We have stayed at the Borgata before but this time we had a very bad experience. We checked in for two rooms. After waiting 20 mins for an elevator, we got upstairs and one of the rooms key wouldn’t work. Back down to the desk. Back up to the room. 40 mins later, even the new key won’t work. Luckily we had another room so we could put our things down and call back down to the desk. Turns out the battery in the door was dead. Instead of giving us a new room, they made us wait almost an hour for a locksmith. FOR A ROOM WE HAVE NEVER EVEN ENTERED. Refused to give us as a new room. When the locksmith came and we finally got it, we basically had to run for our dinner reservation. Not what it used to be. Definitely didn’t feel like a vacation.

Entire hotel smelled awful like stale cigarettes. I stayed on non smoking floor and it stank so strong of smoke it was nauseating. I walked into the MGM and it smelled amazing and fresh. The walls were also very marked and torn wall paper.
