Hotels in Anan-cho are are pretty tricky to find. However, you can have a choice of 4 great digs within 30 kilometres of Anan-cho's centre. Just consider the drive a little extra sightseeing!

It doesn't take long to get to the centre of Anan-cho from Hotel Route-Inn Iida and Otogi-tei KOFU (although with beds as cosy as these, you shouldn't be surprised if you end up running a little behind schedule!)

One more option is the Yuruino Yado Keizan, which is an awesome option if you don't mind travelling 18 kilometres to the centre.

Attractions and Hotels Near Anan-cho

Can't keep those feet still? If you're nodding in agreement, then go and check out the wider Nagano region. Sharpen your landscape photography game by visiting some of Nagano's stunning forests, lakes, mountains and active volcanos. Ruins, castles and traditional villages are a few more tourist hotspots worth pulling your camera out for. More active travellers can also try their hand at snowboarding, skiing and cross-country skiing.

Don't skedaddle before you've checked out the Zotaku-ji Temple and the Komagane Silk Museum in Komagane. Gero is 80 kilometres from Anan-cho and has a population of 35,000. When you're in the area, you'd be crazy if you didn't stop by Sarubobo Shrine, Shitajima Onsen and Gero Onsen. Why not also stop by and check out the Senshoji Temple and Gero Onsen Gassho Village? There's a wide selection of hotels and accommodations in Gero, with the Hotel Sasara and Yunoshimakan at the top of our list.
