Sorry! As much as we've tried, we haven't been able to come up with any places to crash in the centre of Alice.

However, 50 kilometres away you'll find Casino. This nearby locality contains several accommodations. These include the Gateway Lifestyle Casino and Squatters Homestead Motel.

Attractions and Hotels Near Alice

Just can't keep those feet still? If you're furiously nodding in agreement, then go and explore the wider New South Wales region. Don't even think of heading home without stopping at a few of the region's incredible rural landscapes, beaches, coastal plains and mountains. History museums are also worth a look around. Those with a good appetite for adventure can also enjoy a little snowboarding here.

Still haven't got the ideal room? You might just find a high enough thread count in Tenterfield. You'll also be able to check out Boonoo Boonoo Falls and the Sir Henry Parkes Museum. The Best Western The Henry Parkes Tenterfield and Tally Ho Motor Inn are just some of the short and long-stay options here. Or, you could stay in Storm King, 70 kilometres to the northwest of Alice, where you'll find the Sommerville Valley Tourist Park and Alure Stanthorpe. The Stanthorpe Heritage Museum and the Granite Belt are up there with the most popular sites to see for those visiting Storm King.

Sitting 95 kilometres from Alice is Ballina, a regional hub with a population of 14,000. It's where you'll find some sweet attractions, like Shelly Beach, Lighthouse Beach and the Ballina Golf Club. Got more time to play with? Take advantage of the photo ops at the Ballina Visitor Information Centre and the Ballina Naval and Maritime Museum. There are a number of great hotels where you can score a cosy room for a couple of nights in Ballina. We recommend checking out the amenities at the Riverside Holiday Apartments Ballina and Ramada Hotel and Suites Ballina Byron.

On the plane? Going to pieces cos you haven't got a place to stay at the other end? Don't stress! Chances are you'll be able to snap up a room at the New Olympic Motel. It's not too far from Lismore Airport, which is 70 kilometres from the centre of Alice.

The Clarence Luxury country accommodation in Alice NSW
Absolutely stunning, superbly relaxing.
5 / 5
The perfect country escape from the busyness of the city where we could switch off and relax with all the creature comforts. The Ranch was everything we could ask for. Spectacular views, complete privacy, luxury, and to feel at one with nature. Super comfortable beds - everyone claimed to have had the best sleeps ever. Well-equipped kitchen, loads of timber for the fireplace and firepit, plenty of hot water for the 6 of us even though we had a couple of overcast and rainy days. Our 13-year-olds loved sleeping in the very spacious tent, each having a queen bed to themselves. Even though we had very cold nights there was plenty of bedding to keep everyone warm including in the cabin and tent. Whilst phone connectivity was limited, Wifi worked absolutely fine for those needing to check in to work or use facetime. Only thing that was lacking was more time to stay and enjoy ourselves longer and roof racks to cart the kayaks down to the river at Yates Crossing (it's otherwise a steep descent from the property). Communication with the host Matt was excellent. Can't wait to return.
