The Bahia property's are always great. This was the first time booking with Expedia as the Bahia travel partner, and found it very frustrating . I will not use Expedia again.

Signage needs to be better to point our where amenities are located within the property. Especially if you can't catch their cart transport to get to a restaurant. And if you're late, while even in their long lines to check in, they can cancel your dinner reservation. And reservations were difficult because of the app, given the resort had the last name wrong (middle name was used). At check in they told us we had to pay separately per day, per person, for the beach...which we later found out was not true. They have no elevators and dropped us off at the wrong building for our room, which we didn't know until we took our luggage to the third floor! All because they didn't take our bags up! And we were not fans of people being allowed to smoke near pools where kids are, mine hated the smell of cigarettes. Don't think we will be back to this location, even though the majority of the staff was very friendly and nice.

Food and cleanliness was outstanding!! One of the better resorts we have stayed at. Expedia welcome was wonderful, we enjoyed being able to use the other resorts. Only recommendation was entertainment staff was a little disappointing, didn’t seem to engage to people as much. But we will definitely be back to this resort!!

Property is nice, clean and easy to find your way around. Rooms are good. Food was great! No poolside service or room service. I liked that they didn’t allow putting out towels to save loungers poolside. Swim up bar should play the same music as the activity pool, instead they played soft instrumental music.

Enjoyed my stay. Was disappointed there was not more gluten free option. Did not find out about some option till my second last day. I made it known I was gluten free at check in but was never told about pizza or pasta available. Just very bad stale buns and the bread was always gone.

Bahia principe Coba is an average resort. It was much better last time we visited and it has certainly declined in quality and service. The size of the resort however is a plus and the pools are good.

Not sure how this resort has such positive reviews. So many disappointing details I wish I had known beforehand. First off, you can only eat at a la carte restaurants for 3 nights per week of your stay. There is only one buffet, which means you are eating at the same restaurant, breakfast, lunch, and dinner for much of your stay. On top of that, several of the restaurants could only be booked by preferred members or guests of the other resorts, even though they were located at the resort we were staying at. The 24 hour snack bar was also closed for my whole trip. At the small, rocky beach you are treated as a second class citizen and chased from the better facilities of the sister resorts. This meant there is no pool and no where near the beach that you can eat and the beach is a good 15 minute walk from the buffet of Coba. We have ALWAYS had room service at other similarly priced resorts. We were disappointed to find this was not available, but one evening my children were feeling ill. I called concierge services to see if there was any option and I was told I would have to leave my sick children, go to the lobby to get a ticket, and carry the food from the buffet to my room. Never mind that then I would not be able to eat or that the rest of my family would then have to wait in the room while I went for food so my children weren’t left alone. Bonus points: I got scammed by their shuttle service provider.The beach wasn’t great. Rooms outdated, but ok. Pretty clean.

We loved our stay at the Coba. The property had a lot to offer and the staff was fantastic!!! I have never been to a buffet with so much to offer. Would definitely go back.
