It sits 290 kilometres southeast of the country's capital, Rome.

Discover washed up treasures among the salty sea air at Amalfi Beach or Spiaggia Grande.

There is a variety of delightful natural attractions in the vicinity of Acciaroli. Why not head 35 kilometres to Cilento e Vallo di Diano National Park? Alternatively, soak up Mother Nature's artwork at Caves of Palinuro, 25 kilometres away.

Jump on the chairlift at La Sellata-Pierfaone Ski Resort, savour the beauty of the mountains and then ski your way back to base. For even more chilled thrills, hit the slopes at Comprensorio Sciistico Laceno.

There's even more just down the road. Pollica, 3 kilometres to the northeast, is known for Velia Ruins and Casal Velino Marina. Alternatively, if Casal Velino Watchtower and Castello dell'Abate are more your thing, head 4 kilometres north from Acciaroli to San Mauro Cilento.
