Hotel Sonne is a comfortable hotel right in the center of Lienz, a quick walk from the train and bus stations. The interior of the building itself is definitely dated and a bit austere, but that really didn’t impact my stay. My room was comfortable and had a fantastic view of the mountains. The breakfast options were great, and I appreciated that breakfast itself started at 6:00 (I’m an early riser). The staff were friendly and accommodating. I didn’t have time to try the sauna or the gym, but I’m glad they were included. The price was fair and good value.

Room was large, yet cozy feeling. Perfect location next to old town. Great for a rest day on our bicycle trip. Good laundry availability.

Two sisters run this hotel and they are wonderfully kind and involved in making any stay here exceptional. The service is second to none. The breakfast is spectacular, with locally sourced farm to table products. They have a huge assortment of great tea and desserts available to guests. We didn’t hit the spa, as we stayed here during our time hiking in the Dolomites. It was a bit further out from some of the hotels nearer the hikes but it is absolutely worth it to be in such a beautiful place with such incredible hospitality.

The whole resort experience at Gradona is quite fanatic. The dining, the spa, the surrounding area. Well done. Excited to return someday.

We did not stay long enough to enjoy all what this hotel had to offer. Rooms were comfortable and the views amazing. Breakfast was alsol good

The hotel is magnificent and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
