Zakopane can be found 40 kilometres away from Žakovce and has a population of 28,000. When you're in the region, you'd be mad if you didn't visit the Jan Kasprowicz Museum, Zakopane Aqua Park and the Tatra Museum. Villa Koliba and Gubalowka Market are a couple more sights that are sure to offer up some choice photo ops. On the plane? Freaking out cos you haven't got accommodation at the other end? Keep calm! Chances are you'll be able to crash at the Apartmány Village. It's pretty close to Poprad - Tatry Airport, which is 11 kilometres from the centre of Žakovce.
