If you travel 110 kilometres of Wuzhen, you'll come across the important city of Shanghai.
Jinshan Beach and Fengxian Beach should be towards the top of your list if you're after somewhere to take a leisurely stroll along the shore.
It's common knowledge that spending time outdoors is good for you. Keeping that in mind, why wouldn't you venture 40 kilometres out of Wuzhen to Daochang Mountain? Huzhou Sheng Mountain, just 30 kilometres away, is another top option.

After some additional close-by destinations? Jiaxing is only 30 kilometres to the southeast, so jump in the car and start exploring! Alternatively, Huzhou, 60 kilometres west of Wuzhen, is also worth a day trip.
Hangzhou is located 65 kilometres from Wuzhen and is a vital part of the local region. Surrounding attractions include West Lake, the Zhejiang University and Broken Bridge. Still got some time to kill? The China Academy of Art and Zhongshan Park are also within reach.
Knowing how to say a handful of words in the local tongue will make your visit to the Jiaxing region that little bit less challenging. Try to get your mouth around 'Nǐ hǎo ma)'. It translates to 'how are you?'. Perhaps you'll find 'Zhège duōshǎo qián?' easier to say? It means 'how much is this?'.
