Homey,comfortable,well equipped. Suited our purposes perfectly. Would definitely stay there again if I am in the area.

Adorable little cottage in a perfection location. We spent a day chasing waterfalls and checking out Marquette. And a day hiking in the Porcupine Mountains. We even took one day just to relax at the cottage and kayak and fish. Sundog Lake was so beautiful and the boys caught perch, bass, and bluegill. I loved sitting by the fire and enjoying the view of the lake. The cottage was extremely clean, had comfy beds, a fully stocked kitchen, and a hot shower. And the price was better than staying at a hotel. We loved our time on Sundog lake!

Overall it was a great place to stay. Even with rain we were able to have a good time as a family. The bedrooms are smaller than you would generally expect but the cabin was good and fairly well setup.

We had a wonderful trip and truly enjoyed this property! It was a real treat to have our own private lake, and we could watch the fish jump, the busy beavers hard at work and the bald eagles looking for dinner. The hosts were exceptionally accommodating and very quick to respond to all our requests. We hope to stay again in the not too distant future!

Republic is pretty much in the middle of the U.P. so everything is a 45 min drive and up for sight seeing, which made it great for what my wife and I planned. Be advised the cell coverage in most of the U.P. is not good.This property is nice and private with a gate at the end of the driveway. The owners Ken and Sara are awesome with communication, they get back to you with great information and a quick response. Will definitely consider this again for future stays. Dan and Melissa

Super cute little lakefront property! Conveniently located a short drive from Marquette. We caught fish off the dock and went for a swim in the lake to cool off after a session in the hot tub. All the amenities we needed were there, a true little gem.
