There were two false fire alarms that happened in the middle of the night our first eve there. We decided to find other accommodations. Staff was very friendly and did their best as it was out of their control. We’re were reimbursed.

Room was comfortable, clean and modern. Great location to go to concert at Canada Life center. Hotel could have theme activities to capitalize on out of towners coming in for events as clients would enjoy mingling w others in town for same reason. Great to have Browns and Timmy’s next door. Immediate area a bit sketchy.

The hotel was just what we needed to complete our concert night out. I would definitely stay here again. Our room had a view of Portage ave and we loved being able to watch the hustle and bustle of downtown Winnipeg. The convenience of walking across the street for our concert was superb and the price we paid was fair and reasonable for a night’s stay. I will be back!

The Alt is always our favourite place to stay in Winnipeg when we are going to a concert/show at Canada Life Centre. Staff are amazing and rooms are beautiful!! It’s so convenient as well there is Browns Social House connected which is delicious and the concerts are literally right across the street! Double thumbs up! 👍 👍

This hotel was very trendy, and honestly had one of the best showers/bathrooms, and gyms. There is a parking garage that is under surveillance and attached to the hotel via skywalk which was so convient and gave us a good peace of mind. There are a few food places around the hotel that are all delicious as well.

Great hotel, but wouldn't want to walk in streets around the area after dark. During the day many drunk/drugged individuals asked us for money. Was warned by someone to hold onto our bags as could be snatched. Like other city centres, both shopping malls were devoid of shops. A great pity as hotel itself was excellent and could not fault it in any way whatsoever.
