Beautiful spacious room touch of luxury with decor soaps and shampoo, Bed very comfortable. We were served drink from a lovely young lad who was very attentive. Evening meal was delicious but maybe slightly overpriced. Didn’t have breakfast. Enjoyed our stay.

Myself and a friend had a wonderful one night stay as a stopover coming back to Yorkshire from Edinburgh. Beautiful surroundings (great views from our window) with extremely comfortable beds in the room (firm but soft - which is my preference). I enjoyed a pre breakfast swim in the pool and the lovely countryside views from the jacuzzi. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choices - we definitely didn't need lunch. All the staff encountered throughout our stay were attentive and friendly. The tiniest thing that stood out was that some of the edges of furniture in the room/bathroom were looking a little tired and the skirting board under the window would benefit from a paint touch up. Also the lights were all linked so you couldn't isolate each beds bedside light - but these things really were minor - and as I say they stood out because everything else was excellent. I felt the whole thing was extremely good value topped off by the fact there were Yorkshire teabags in the room!

Staff were friendly and efficient. Night porter was very helpful to a young person in our group Breakfast was good enjoyed the fresh fruit and Greek yogurt

A lovely day spent, grounds are pretty, great comfort food was delicious. Service was a little limited but overall great time had.

It was very good. The staff were professional and friendly and the building is unique with lots of history and character. It was very quiet and pleasant to wake up to the peacocks. The food was excellent quality
