We had a disappointing experience with this rental after checkout. We acknowledged that our 5 year-old and 3 year-old twins caused some issues and repeatedly tried to work with the owner in good faith, asking for photos, receipts, and an itemized list of damages (including a rough cost per item) so we could make things right.At first the host was responsive and said "we will send photos and receipts for repair". However, after we asked to have a conversation with the owner to get on the same page, she became unresponsive. Robin then withheld our full 1,500 damage deposit without providing any photos or receipts as she promised. My wife and I then reached out to VRBO as we felt like we were taken advantage of. A few days later, damages were reduced to 1,000 (which we did end up paying). However, we still haven't received any photos or an itemized list with costs as we were promised.Separately, we also wish the listing had disclosed that the property requires driving nearly 3 miles on a very rough gravel road. We ended up with a flat tire on the way in, costing us about 500 to repair. Some locals that helped us get to the property told us this road is known for causing tire damage.Overall, the property is nice and has a lovely view. Just be very warry of the owner being very difficult to work with. In looking at the reviews, it seems we aren't the first person with this experience as another visitor had an issue with dirty towels and a broken deck chair.

I booked online obviously. I called and the guy Patel on the line started yelling at me before I even arrived. I wanted to check in early if possible. I over looked it and showed up after the call. Im going to skip the run down on it being worn out and dirty and depressing. Like the mini fridge has a pawn shop price tag on it still. I went in the room and sat at the table digging through my bag for evening clothes. A live bed bug crawled onto my bag. Instinctively I blew it off my bag. I instantly regretted not taking a photo. Then I pulled the covers back and seen a dead bed bugs on the sheet. I did take a photo of that one. I was so grossed out I left immediately. I called Expedia. They called Patel. He yelled at the Expedia guy and refused a refund. So I guess im disputing it with the bank. Not recommended.

Really cute hotel that unique and historic. The bar was great and pretty lively for Harrison.

Beautiful property, well taken care of and friendly accommodating hosts, we couldn’t have expected any better and we certainly didn’t want to leave. Oh! and we saw a bear, several deer and turkey on the property too. Highly recommend!!

I’m in the area on business, this location is clean, has good parking, friendly staff and seems well managed. Will definitely stay here again when I’m in the area

Clean cabin with great amenities that made our stay so comfortable. The secluded location and beautiful views of the canyon really can’t be beat.
