Book West Isles hotels

The large towels, bathrobes, and slippers were nice. Good hotel soaps and they had toothbrushes and toothpaste standard in the room which was thoughtful. We had dinner the first night at Braxtons and it was disappointing. I ordered the salmon for $46 and it was over cooked with a flavor profile that was mediocre at best. The portion did not make up for the quality. We also had the unfortunate experience if having the waiter spilling champagne over the back of one of the guests at our table. The manager offered her a 50% reduction on her meal (not enough given the fact that she was soaked in wine for the entire meal) and then did not apply it to the bill and she had to ask them to fix the bill. Overall, the hotel is beautiful and full of history. I would recommend eating somewhere other than Braxtons if you're hungry or have a discerning palate.

A nice, kind of old-fashioned place, one of only two places I could find between St John and Calais that were pet-friendly. I would happily stay here again.

Host communication was great and check in was easy. The property is oceanview, the apartment isn't. It is a basement apartment in a home that the hosts live in. There are no windows to face the water, and there was no accessible space for us to enjoy the view. There were a few other issues with general upkeep. Quick drive to saint andrews, nice shower, delicious coffee!

Wonderful spot! Charming country lodge feel. Private fenced balcony with hot tub. Very comfortable beds. We appreciated how pet friendly the site is! The hosts even left us fresh coffee beans and a pie! We bought farm fresh eggs for breakfast from a roadside egg stand. All the comforts of home! The beach wasn’t as accessible due to snow but We can’t wait to go back again this summer to scavenge the beach and have a bon fire! Merci
