From Weiz head 95 kilometres northeast and you'll come to the major metropolis of Eisenstadt. The lively streets of another great city, Sankt Polten, are situated to the north, around 110 kilometres away.

The Graz Town Hall, the Graz Art Museum and Eggenberg Palace are three terrific reasons to make your way to Mölten. Sitting 14 kilometres southwest, there's easily enough here to keep you busy for the day.

You'll find an assortment of lovely natural attractions not too far from Weiz. Why not venture 35 kilometres to Therme Bad Blumau? Alternatively, you can admire nature's artwork at Grassl Cave, 7 kilometres away.

Whether you'd like to learn more about the cultural and religious aspects of the region or just relax in the peaceful atmosphere, Weizberg Church is the place to visit.

Expand your horizons and find out what's happening in Etzersdorf, 5 kilometres to the east. Plenty of visitors come here for Sankt Ruprecht Church and Vierzehnnothelfer Church. Alternatively, Schachen is 7 kilometres to the northwest of Weiz. Head to this place for easy access to the Schockl Cable Car and Panoramalift St. Kathrein am Offenegg.

Spend a morning or afternoon walking around the Bad Waltersdorf Culture House, the Bad Waltersdorf Golf Club and Parish Church of Bad Waltersdorf. They are all close to the middle of Sebersdorf, 30 kilometres to the east. Have more time on your hands? The Golfplatz Bad Waltersdorf and the H2O Hotel-Therme should also be on your travel list.
